CRN Names Starburst’s Toni Adams to 2022 Channel Chiefs List & More Recent Accolades!

Last Updated: April 6, 2023

We are thrilled to announce that Toni Adams, our Vice President of Partners and Alliances, has been named to CRN’s 2022 Channel Chiefs list! This annual list recognizes the top IT channel vendor executives who continually demonstrate expertise, influence, and innovation in channel leadership. A team of CRN editors selected the winners from a pool of influential channel executives for their accomplishments, dedication, and leadership and we’re proud that Toni was included.

Under Toni’s leadership, Starburst’s partner program, Starburst Orbit, has seen significant growth over the past year. In November 2021, we announced a partnership with Red Hat as one of the inaugural members of the Red Hat OpenShift Data Science ecosystem, the availability of Starburst Enterprise Trino on Google Cloud Marketplace and Alibaba Cloud. Starburst is now available on six major public and private cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba, Red Hat, and HPE.

The entire Starburst team congratulates Toni for this accomplishment and we are excited to add his recognition to a long list of recent accolades we’ve earned. Just last week, Starburst was named to CRN’s 20 Coolest Cloud Software Companies Of The 2022 Cloud 100 list, which recognizes companies and startups that are driving the evolution of cloud software today. In 2021, Starburst was named to the first Intelligent Applications 40 (IA40) list, which recognizes the top intelligent applications selected by 40 leading venture capital firms. Starburst also won Constellation Research’s 2021 Enterprise Award for Best Enterprise Software Startup.

Our products, Starburst Enterprise, Galaxy, and Starburst Stargate were named to CRN’s Tech 10 list, which recognizes new databases, data management, and business analytics tools that help businesses leverage data for competitive advantage. We were also excited to participate in Datanami’s Readers’ Choice Awards and were honored to be chosen by the readers as a Top 3 Data and AI startup along with other companies that stand out in the big data community.

Finally, Starburst was named one of Built In’s Best Places to Work in Boston, which highlighted companies that have created a supportive work culture for their employees. This is the latest local workplace recognition that we are honored to receive as we continue to make Boston home to Starburst’s headquarters — earlier in 2021, the Boston Business Journal also named Starburst one of Boston’s Best Places to Work. We are proud to be a part of the Boston community and are committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment for the Starburst team, no matter where they are located across the globe. We are building something great at Starburst, and we know that it wouldn’t be possible without the hard work from our talented team.

We are grateful to be recognized by these top organizations, and I’m excited to carry our momentum into this week as we host our second annual Datanova conference on February 9-10. The two-day virtual event  centers around Data Mesh, helping companies move from theory to practice. Datanova will also feature a keynote from Steve Wozniak, Apple co-founder, innovator, and engineer.

Here’s to a strong start in 2022! Thanks for joining us on the journey.
